In this tutorial, Dubspot instructor and NI Traktor expert Mike Henderson, aka DJ Endo, will discuss the quickest way to prepare your tracks in Traktor using beat grids – getting your set ready in no time! Beat grids will allow you to use Traktor’s ‘sync’ function to create seamless DJ mixes that are always perfectly in time.
UPDATE – Since this video was made, Traktor has moved the location of the Tick button. To turn on the Tick for a Deck, you need to open the Advanced Panel in the Deck by clicking the black arrow underneath the “Active” button. If you don’t see the active button, double click on the deck header to resize the deck and you will then see the active button. Now open the advanced panel. With the Advanced Panel open, click on the “Grid” tab. The Tick button is the little headphone button in the Grid Panel. Happy Beatgridding!
